He signed with the Steelers in 2023 but only caught 34 passes for 280 yards before moving on to Detroit for his final regular season game.
A Career Built on Big Numbers
Robinson was never just a role player. He was a second-round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2014 who quickly proved his worth. In his second season, he hauled in 80 catches for 1,400 yards and led the league with 14 touchdowns. That kind of production made him a star. He kept that level up with Chicago, posting back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons there. Those numbers show he was a top-tier receiver when healthy. The Body Says Enough
Injuries cut his time in Pittsburgh short. He missed practices and could not get out there with the guys during the training camp and preseason. According to Behind the Steel Curtain, Robinson explained his decision to step away by saying, “I wanted to play since the first preseason [game], but obviously missing practices and stuff.” He added, “Couldn’t get out there with the guys.
